Breakfast Club

Breakfast Clubs in Welsh Schools

All children who go to a primary school which is maintained by a local authority can have a free breakfast at school, if their school provides free breakfasts. If their school doesn’t provide free breakfasts, you can ask them if they could start providing them. Local authorities must provide schools with free breakfasts if the schools ask for them, unless it is unreasonable to do so.

In Ysgol Y Bryn, we offer a free breakfast as part of our Breakfast Club. Breakfast club opens each morning at 8.10am and runs until the start of school at 8.55am. All pupils are given the options shown in the image above and have opportunities to take part in social games with friends after they've had a nutritious breakfast.

We kindly ask that you sign your child/ren into breakfast club at the main reception and we will then accompany pupils to the breakfast to ensure a safe handover to our qualified breakfast staff.
