After School Club starts back on Tuesday 25th April

I’m writing with an update regarding After School Club.

Dear Parents / Carers,

I’m writing with an update regarding After School Club. Just before the summer holidays, CYCA informed us that they would no longer be able to continue staffing the After School Club at the school.

Fortunately, staff at the school have come forward and are willing to run the club for the foreseeable future. As a result, we will be re-introducing after school club from Monday 6th September 2021.

The main details:

  1. Clwb Hwyl will run on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 3.15pm until 5.10pm.
  2. In Clwb Hwyl the children will take part in a range of activities e.g. music, art, dance, creative, sport, play and receive a snack and drink each night they attend.
  3. The cost for the service will be £5.00 per night. Payment is required in cash by the Friday of each week for the following week, meaning we ask for payment in advance. Please ensure all monies are in an envelope with your child’s name and ‘Afterschool club’ clearly marked.

The Afterschool club will be a not for profit activity at the school but we must ensure we cover the costs of running the club each week. As a result, we will need to ensure there are at least 8 pupils attending each night to cover costs. At any point where this is not the case, we will write to parents to encourage the use of the club but may need to review these arrangements to ensure there is no cost to the school to run this service.

If you require the use of the Afterschool for next week, please email Mrs Sian Robinson (sian.robinson@bryn.ysgolccc.cymru) with the name of your child and the nights you will need the service for next week. Payment for next week’s club can be made by the Friday (10.09.21), along with the payment for the following week.

Thank you in advance for your understanding with these arrangements.

Best Wishes,

Stephen Thomas
