What do the new restrictions mean for my child and school?
You may have questions following the announcement today around how have things changed with school and your children from 6pm on Saturday evening.
I want to reassure you that school will not change for your children. We fully understand this may increase anxiety and worry in our community but we still want to see all pupils back in school each and every day to carry on helping every pupil to catch up with their missed education and have time with their friends.
We promise to continue carrying out all the actions and measures outlined in our very detailed risk assessment to ensure our pupils and staff remain safe. We continue to promise that we will be the first to contact you in the event of a positive case in our school, if you hear the gossip of a positive case in our school anywhere other than from us, you can be sure it's not true.
The only change to your current routine within school will be that we now ask all parents/carers and any family member dropping off or collecting your children to wear a face mask, covering or shield when you enter school site from Monday 28th September 2020. Please be aware, we will have to ask you to leave school site if you do not have a face mask, covering or shield and return once you have one.
There will be enforcement officers from Carmarthenshire County Council carrying out random spot checks on schools to ensure schools are carrying out the measures put in place and that parents are adhering to this request of face coverings, sticking to the one way system in place and using the correct entrance and exit gates whilst on site.
May I thank you in advance for your support with adhering to the current measures in place. If you have any concerns or worries around this, we are always available to talk these through and support in anyway we can.
